Scrap Like You Mean It challenge this week was to tell a happy story. I don't have many photos with my Great Auntie Betty as she lives in Texas but I've always wanted to record how her writing always made me laugh when I was younger. Although she has a beautiful, loopy style of handwriting, her ls look like ds, turning lots of love into dots of dove!

I used BG Lemonade papers for this LO. Ever ordered somthing then found it looks totally different IRL? That's the mistake I made with the strawberry dots paper, I would never have bought this from a store. However, when I make a mistake like this I'm even more determined to use whatever it is up faster. It actually looks OK behind the photo here & leads your eye in as it matches Auntie Betty's sweater. I spent ages hand-cutting all the vines but it was worth it for the effect.
The title is cut from Black Magic cardstock with my Oppsites Attract cartridge & the edges were sanded. I stamped the vines & bird with Hero Arts stamps.

This is a lovely story. it must have taken ages to cut out all those branches and flowers, they look great!

Definitely a great result - and I think the papers work really well.

I love the story - love that the smallest details of our memories make such lovely pages. See how different we are too - I was magnetically attracted to the Lemonade collection because I love that red spotted paper!
